Albert_Einstein......

The intuitive mind is a sacred gift and the rational mind is a faithful servant. We have created a society that honors the servant and has forgotten the gift.

“We are confronted with a problem that seems unsolvable. We have been working to solve the problem but don’t really seem to be making any progress. We think that if we can just get some of the people to change what they are doing the solution will be reached. But we can’t seem to get the people to change!”

It is recommended that a systematic approach to innovation and problem solving be taken with a focus on ideas rather than on people or simply the elimination of the problem.

It’s likely that others have confronted the elements of a problem such as this at some other point in time.

º     What are the elements of this problem?

º     What are the inherent contradictions that exist in this problem? What two things are in opposition where if one gets better the other gets worse?

º     Has an ideal final solution been articulated?

º     Has the subject system been mapped?

º     Have resources presently idle in the system been listed?

º     Have the elements of the present condition been quantified?

º     Have the TRIZ 40 principles been used as a framework for structured brainstorming?

It is solvable with the use of the appropriate methods!
